This is a photo of Mt. Baldy that I took right behind my house after that day of heavy rains not too long ago. Normally the view is not spectacular because I see it almost every day on my way to school. This sight is quite rare for me to see though and I found the way it looked extremely beautiful and fascinating. It is early morning and the sun is rising from the right side of the screen. What fascinates me is that we all know that snow is cold and that the temperature across that section of range is more than likely similar. Of course there are variations depending on altitude. Anyway, the fascinating part to me is because the right side of the mountain is illuminated more and colored more in the yellow-orange hue, it feels warmer to me than the left side which is more of a blue hue. All that is needed to set the sense of temperature is a slight color change. That's fascinating.
