I’m an avid skier, and I took this picture of the gondola going up the mountain after I was done for the day. I love the way the sunlight turns casts everything in a wash of golden light when it starts to set. The dark green trees that appear black from a distance took on a completely different color just because of the setting of sun and the way light is scattered. The same sun was shining all day, but the simple scattering of light made a huge difference.
