I took this picture a couple weeks ago on the North Shore in Lake Tahoe. The way the light from the sun is pushing through the clouds is beautifully haunting. The reflection of light onto the water bring out the details of the natural rippling of the waves and brings me to a state of nostalgia for some reason. The shape and trajectory of the light on the water provides a sense of longing. I love when light can both push through and reflect off of landscapes. It draws in the eye and puts elements into focus. That quality and detail from the light of the sun offers a purpose, an emotion, and a story. The natural beauty and light of nature is astonishing.
