This picture is from New Slate 2019. The lighting makes the dancers look like they are in water due to the blue light on the floor. The way the light highlights the dancers on the floor creates contrast and lightness compared to the blue and it is stunning. The dancers jumping have the light hitting them from the sides and from above so it makes for a more angelic presence. The lighting is beautiful and showcases the dancers well. The lighting also enhances and stays true to the concept of the piece which is looking at the shift of grains of sand in the ocean.
