I think the light in this photo is what makes it so stunning. Because the photo is reoriented, the light coming in from above the water appears as side lighting, sculpting and accentuating the features of the model's body very nicely. The amber glow of the light contrasts the dark underwater atmosphere, giving the entire composition a feeling of hope. The beams of light cascading in from the surface of the water give the image an etherial feel. The model looks into her own reflection, illuminated from the light above, and basks peacefully and tranquilly, suspended in the water.
