ELTON JOHN'S MASTERFUL CONCERT LIGHTS

A whole other world of lighting is explored in concert and entertainment lighting. As I was looking through pictures I have taken, I came across the picture I took during Elton John's Farewell concert. I had an amazing amazing time at this concert, although I was incredibly far away from the actual stage. The concert was still amazing, (of course Elton was part of this amazing-ness) because of the awesome lighting! Concert lighting is obviously a different breed of lighting, mostly because it's more about constantly stunning and engaging the audience. These punchy lights with vibrant, rainbow-like colors take me back to the concert scene. As you can see, the stage has been lined with these great LEDs that change colors seamlessly, blending into one another. The lights would flow all around the stage and change to the beat of the music, to the tone of the song and music, and were placed in such an interesting, different way compared to a regular rectangular shaped stage. Although it's not necessarily lighting - the projections must be mentioned as well! This stage, as you maybe can see, is completely lined with projection screens or what must be really high end LEDs that can play video. In this moment, this screen was moving through an awesome psychedelic animation as the song "Rocket Man" played. This mixture of colorful moving lights and screens made this concert unforgettable.
