This is a photo I took last year during a gorgeous sunset. I saw how beautiful the sky looked and went to the top of the garage by the ARC. In this image you can see a plethora of hues, shapes, shades, and texture— all illuminated and magnified by light. It looks as if the sky has been painted, and becomes softer the further away it gets from the sun. The majesty of this photo is truly all because of light, the sun is the center and source. I particularly love the stark contrast to the dark earth below. The silhouette of the trees against the illuminated sky is very interesting to the eye, as well as the small glow from windows and below. The top fades into a deep blue, alluding the the night that will follow, creating another catching element to this image. This magical moment in the sky tells a story through the colors of the clouds and the sun overlooking the sleepy city below.
