I took these two pictures of the Christmas tree at my Aunt's house when I visited her during December. These lights were very striking to me when I first saw them. My immediate family doesn't celebrate Christmas, I'm not used to seeing such bright and elaborate lights, especially not in the inside of a house. My aunt also didn't celebrate Christmas when she was younger and really goes all out with it now that she's on her own. The lights to her seemed to represent Christmas, and now that she had what she couldn't have before she wasn't afraid to have a whole lot of them. I don't know how I feel about Christmas personally, but I do find it beautiful that she was able to find something she wanted and use light to express it outwardly.
